If you're in the market for new all-around tyres, then you're likely considering the Vredestein Quatrac and the Falken EuroALL Season AS210. Both of these tyres, made by reputable manufacturers Vredestein and Falken respectively, offer good performance, but how do they stack up against each other in tests?

The Vredestein Quatrac, made in Hungary, is generally speaking a high-performing tyre. According to ADAC and AutoBild tests, it scored well for good dry braking and handling, excellent performance around wet handling, and good snow performance. However, it did receive criticism for average wet and snow braking and a higher than average rolling resistance. In the same mutual test with Falken EuroALL Season AS210, Quatrac was placed 6th out of 16, one position ahead of Falken's model.

The Falken EuroALL Season AS210, produced in Turkey, is a good all-year tyre with certain strengths noted in handling both dry and wet conditions. Test results showed short wet braking distances and impressive wet handling. However, it has extended dry braking, poor aquaplaning resistance, and is weaker in the snow compared to the Vredestein Quatrac. Its rolling resistance was also the highest on the test.

AutoBild rated EuroALL Season AS210 as an all-around talent with good performance in diverse weather conditions, stable handling, and good aquaplaning properties. It got noteworthy praise for its traction and short braking distances on snow and high mileage. The main downsides were slight understeer in snow and wet handling, increased rolling resistance, and longer dry braking distances.

On balance, both tyres offer good general performance, with the Vredestein Quatrac slightly outperforming the Falken EuroALL Season AS210 in tests. However, the Vredestein tyre shows a more balanced performance across various conditions while the Falken model stands out for its value for money and snow performance. We would recommend the Vredestein Quatrac for more balanced all-season performance whilst the Falken EuroALL Season AS210 could be a good cost-efficient option for wintry conditions.
